Privacy Policy
NotchBloom is designed to keep your data on your Mac. We do not run a server for the app, we do not have user accounts, and we do not collect, sell or share personal information.
What we collect
Nothing. NotchBloom contains no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting service and no tracking of any kind.
Data stored on your Mac
- Settings such as your hotkey, last used tab and timer preferences are saved locally on your Mac.
- Clipboard history is kept in the app’s private container on your Mac. It is never uploaded anywhere.
- File shelf keeps references to the files you drop onto it, stored in the app’s private container. The files themselves are not copied or uploaded.
Deleting NotchBloom from your Mac removes this data along with the app’s container.
No network requests
NotchBloom does not make any network requests. It has no servers to talk to, and everything it shows stays on your Mac.
Calendar
If you grant access, NotchBloom reads your calendar events through Apple’s EventKit to display them in the notch. Events are used on your Mac only and are not stored by us or sent anywhere.
Camera
If you grant access, the camera is used to show a live mirror preview while the Mirror tab is open. Camera frames are displayed on screen only. They are never recorded, stored or transmitted.
Now Playing
NotchBloom reads the currently playing track information from macOS so it can display it. This information stays on your Mac.
Purchases
The free trial and the unlock are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not see or store your payment details. Apple’s privacy policy applies to the purchase.
Children
NotchBloom does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
