Music, right in the notch

Artwork, play and pause, next and previous, and a scrubber you can drag. NotchBloom reads what macOS says is playing, so Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube in your browser all show up. Podcasts and videos play with the same controls.

A shelf for files in transit

Drag a file onto the notch and it waits there. Drag it out into a message, a document or a folder when you are ready. The shelf is still full after a restart.

Everything you copied, pinned

A clipboard manager in the notch: a history of your recent clipboard items. Pin the ones you keep needing. Passwords and items your password manager marks as concealed are skipped.

The day, and the battery

Upcoming events from Calendar sit next to your Mac’s battery level, its charging state and live CPU and memory use. A low battery alert tells you before it matters.

A timer you can see

Run a pomodoro or a plain countdown, with a sound when time is up. While it runs, the closed notch shows what is left, and it signals when the session ends.

And a few more

The sixth tab is Mirror: a camera mirror for a quick look before a call, with a preview that runs only while the Mirror tab is open. A hotkey, ⌥⌘N by default, and launch at login. English, Polish, German, French and Spanish, following your system language.

Nothing leaves your Mac

Questions

Something missing? Write to support@notchbloom.com.

Is NotchBloom a Dynamic Island for Mac?

In spirit, yes. Like the Dynamic Island on iPhone, the closed notch shows what is playing or how much time the timer has left, and it opens into a panel when you hover over it: music controls, a file shelf, a clipboard manager, your next meetings and battery, a focus timer and a camera mirror.

Does NotchBloom work on a Mac without a notch?

Yes, with a difference. NotchBloom is designed for MacBooks with a notch and needs macOS 14 or later. On a Mac without a notch, or on an external display, the panel appears as a small pill at the top center of the screen.

What happens after the 7 day trial?

Everything is unlocked for the first seven days. After that the app locks until you unlock it once for $2.99, or the matching price in your currency. There is no subscription and no recurring charge, and the purchase goes through the App Store.

What does NotchBloom collect about me?

Nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics and no tracking, and your clipboard, files and calendar stay on your Mac. NotchBloom makes no network requests, so nothing is sent anywhere.

Which music apps does it work with?

It shows whatever macOS reports as playing, so Apple Music and Spotify work, and so does audio from a browser, including YouTube. Podcasts and videos play with the same controls.

Does it show AirPods or other Bluetooth batteries?

No. The battery readout is for your Mac only: charge level, whether it is charging, and a low battery alert.

Why calendar and camera access?

Calendar access fills the Today tab with your upcoming events. Camera access powers the mirror, and the preview only runs while the Mirror tab is open. Both are optional.

Can I choose which tabs appear and how to open it?

Yes. Pick the tabs you want in settings, turn on launch at login, and open the panel with the hotkey, which is ⌥⌘N by default, besides hovering over the notch.

Which languages are supported?

English, Polish, German, French and Spanish. NotchBloom follows your system language.
